Effective December 22 in private and public locations open to the general public
On December 20th, the Montague Selectboard reviewed COVID-19 case trends, which have spiked sharply upward over a period of several weeks. In response to the escalating threat posed to public health, the board voted to implement a town-wide mask requirement for indoor spaces to which public entry is allowed. For example, supermarkets, restaurants, professional services offices, and retail stores. As voted, this requirement is not intended to affect private or non-municipal public workplaces that are not open to the public. This order is effective beginning Wednesday, December 22nd. Please see attachment for the official declaration and additional information.
